Ikthus Cebu, otherwise known as FBC (First Baptist Church of Cebu). Ikthus Cebu is a local body of Christ comprised of people from all walks of life and different sectors of society. What binds these people together is the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and the desire to worship Him. Ikthus Cebu believes in reaching out to people by leading them to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, counseling the troubled, praying for the sick, and helping them grow into spiritual maturity.
It is the greek word of “fish” and the symbol the early Christians used to refer to Christ. Each letter of the word has a corresponding meaning: ἰχθύς– (Iota)Iēsous (Chi)Christos (Theta)Theou (Upsilon-H)yios (Sigma)sōtēr. If translated in english, it means: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Savior.

Statement of Faith
In matters of faith that are essential, there must be unity; in non-essentials, we should allow liberty. In all things, we should show charity toward others. In this spirit, we are united in the following "essential" affirmation:
The Word of God
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings. This means that all facts that Scripture intends to affirm (e.g. theological, doctrinal, historical, numerical, chronological, and scientific) are exempt from error in whole and in part. The scriptures are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. By this we mean that the spirit of God has exerted supernatural influence on all writers and that this guarantees the trustworthiness of all their canonical writings.
